A history of R Young & Sons French Polishing Ltd
Established in 2006, R Young & Sons French Polishing Limited continues a family trade dating back to 1873.
From a young age Robert showed a keen interest in French polishing, and began learning the art of traditional hand French polishing from his grandfather James. This included the preparation, mixing of stains and finishing using traditional methods and materials.
Whilst serving his apprenticeship at Locks of London, Robert carried out his studies and qualified at the London College of Furniture.
